Ms. Stiles is the current principal at Jasper Place High School in
Edmonton, Canada and consultant with Targeted Leadership. She has a
Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Science and
Economics from the University of Alberta and has completed a year of
French studies in Montpellier, France to become fluent in French. She
was a graduate from the first class of the French Immersion After
Degree program in Education at the University of British Columbia.
Ms. Stiles has been an educator for 23 years and has taught and been a
principal at all three levels, Elementary, Junior, and Senior High
School. Jean was named one of "Canada's Most Outstanding Principals"
in 2007 and was the recipient of the Learning Partnership's National
Award. She was inducted into Canada's National Principal Academy in
2007.
Her current high school, Jasper Place, has a very diverse population
with programs ranging from International Baccalaureate and Advanced
Placement to the Registered Apprenticeship Program. The school hosts a
large ESL population and has successfully included special needs
students into the school. Staff promote a welcoming environment for
all.
Ms. Stiles is committed to the success of each and every student that
enters her school and she knows the power of using data to inform
decisions and move a school forward. |
