Before coming to Targeted Leadership Consulting as a Senior Consultant, Ana successfully served California students for 23 years as teacher, elementary school principal and district office administrator. Throughout her career, Ana brought initiatives to her school sites and school districts that primarily targeted literacy development for second language learners and other at risk students. She successfully lead a low performing school to increased gains in student achievement by focusing on data driven instruction and creating a powerful parent involvement and parent education program.

Overseeing student services for a large urban school district afforded many opportunities for Ana to coach school site administrators and counseling staff. Under her leadership, strong intervention programs focusing on the "whole child" were implemented. Her passion is working with school leadership teams, support staff and parents to promote learning readiness for at risk students.
