A Senior Consultant with TLC, Connie Smith most recently served for the past 17 years as an administrator with the Chula Vista Elementary School District. During her 37 years in public school education she worked in four school districts in both northern and southern California as principal, curriculum coordinator, project manager classroom teacher and school librarian. Her school was selected by PacBell’s Education First Initiative as one of two elementary technology demonstration schools in California. Ms. Smith’s passion to improve the teaching and learning process across the school community led her to work with under achieving schools to systematically raise student achievement, establish a process for data analysis to drive instruction, effectively use technology as a teaching/learning tool, and create an atmosphere of collaborative teams among the staff. She has been a leader in implementing educational reform processes and her schools served as model sites.

Ms. Smith was selected as Administrator of the Year by ACSA’s Region 18 Southwest Charter, and Principal of the year by the Borderview YMCA.
